So my question is how do HS librarians keep up with what the good books are? They have lists, but we need to make sure those lists are up to date. They talk with professors. I guess sometimes publishers might send a book sample to professors and librarians. But that is sometimes part of our job, making sure we have good material to offer.
P.S. is there any group of librarians working on the maintainability of journals.
That is an interesting area, putting journals online, making journals that have only existed online.
But my opinion is that texbooks (and journals; my other texbooks have mentioned this problem) are way to expensive.
How do we make Open Access even better?
