Dr. MacCall showed us an example of EHR;s during Monday night lecture. It was pretty nice, but still looked sort of late 90’s, early 2000’s technology. It was sort of interactive, but could have been so much better. I did not see its notes section but could imagine there should be one. Also, what I was thinking was tablets (and my mom’s laptop) have styluses so that you can draw. this would be great to incorporate into EHR’s. Is there an X-rays and cat scan, and MRI images section to hold those images?
Right now, one good thing to do, would be to bring EHR’s into the present decade, make sure that the most is done so that doctors like to use EHR’s (they are not difficult to use) and find the places where EHR’s aren’t used, and why, and what we can do to fix that.
